Advanced Permissions

The Permissions Administration screen provides access to advanced permissions.  The Advanced Permissions enable a role to have different permission sets on a site-by-site basis.  This is especially useful for Organizational – level roles where the headquarters users need to have some publishing capability directly on their child sites.  In other words, a role can possess different permissions, depending on which site or page is being accessed for management.

Click   to present the Advanced Permissions screen.

  1. From the Choose Role drop-down, select the role to be reviewed and/or modified.
  2. The tree view default selection will be All Sites and the permissions granted to that role will be shown by the checkboxes.
  3. To grant permissions at the All Sites level, select them using the checkboxes.  This will be granting those permissions for both the Organization and all its Child Sites.
  4. To grant permissions on a site-by-site basis, select each site from the tree view—the name of the selected site will appear above the list of Permissions.  Use the checkboxes to designate the permissions.
  5. Click    before selecting the next site, otherwise assignments will be lost.
