Types of Permissions

Permissions are the building blocks of

 Webtreepro's functions.

Permissions may be grouped together into subsets called roles.

When a role is assigned to a user, the role defines

what that user may or may not do.

   1.   To access the list of Permissions, go to the gray panel to the left of your screen.  Use the dropdown arrow, and

          select Permissions.

   2.   A user cannot grant any Permission to a role that they don’t have themselves.  For example, suppose you have the

Permission to create roles, but you do NOT have the Permission to add pages.  When you create a new role, you won’t be

able to assign the ability to add pages Permission to that new role

   3.   At the top right of the screen, Webtreepro offers an Advance Permissions capability for users that require special access.

An example would be the Organization Site Administrators who need to have add, edit, and delete capabilities on Child Sites.

   4.   Below is a partial list of the Permissions Administration screen.  The list will change according to the role selected from

          the Choose Role dropdown.
