Editing an Existing Child Site is needed when a Child Site
must be disabled or enabled,
or the URL for the site changes, or a new or different Skin
needs to be changed,
or the site SuperAdmin changes.
|
|
To edit a Child Site, go to the gray Administration
panel to the left of your screen.
Using the Administration dropdown
select Sites.
Webtreepro will bring up
the Site Administration page where you keep
the properties of a Child Site.

The Site Administration screen, seen below, is available to Organization (Parent) Site administrators
and to the SuperAdmin of the Child Site.

1. From the Current Sites tree view, to the left of the window, select the Child Site to be edited.
2. Make changes to the various Child Site characteristics (Site Name, Subdomain, etc).
-
Click Apply to save changes and remain in the Site Administrative screen.
-
Click Done to save changes and exit the screen.
-
Click Cancel to abandon any changes and exit the screen.
3. If you need to review all of the options given on this screen, please visit the page Add a New Child Site, or click here.
4. There are two new options offered in the Edit a Child site screen, Disable/Enable and Delete.
Let's look at the Disable/Enable first.
-
If you click Disable the selected site will become “hidden.” This allows the Organization to block browser access to a Child Site without actually deleting it. This is helpful for temporary shutdowns.
To Delete an Existing Child Site:
1. From the Current Sites tree view, to the left of the window, select the Child Site to be deleted.
2. Select Delete . When you click Delete, Webtreepro will show you the "Warning" dialog box, seen below.
Caution! The Delete button will cause the selected Child Site to be removed permanently.
It is NOT recoverable once deleted.
3. Click OK to delete the site.
4. Click Cancel to abandon without deleting.
5. Click Done to save changes and exit the screen.
6. Click Cancel to abandon any changes and exit the screen.
