Content Publishing

 

The Publishing screen is where you determine if the new content should be pushed to your child sites, and if the child site users can do anything locally with the new content.

 

 

 

 

  1.  Make this content available to child sites checkbox:
    1. De-selection of this value will prevent this new page from propagating to any child site.  It will therefore only appear on the parent site. 
    2. If this is selected, there are no other options enabled on the Publishing screen.If selected, the page becomes available to the child sites, and additional conditions may also be set:
      1. Child site may edit this content checkbox:
        1. De-selection locks down the content and prevents any child site user from modifying it, even if it’s on a page that is editable.
        2. Selection allows the addition of local content and/or the editing of that pushed content which the parent site has allowed to be edited.
      2. This content will be: radio buttons:
        1. Required on child sites makes the content mandatory.  Each selected group or child site will inherit the content.
        2. Optional on child sites makes this content available to, but not required on the child sites.  The child site users may opt-in to this content.
        3. Please select the sites...designator, use the checkboxes to indicate to which child sites the content is pushed (if mandatory) or available (if optional).
  2. When complete:
    1. Click   to finish creating the new content and exit the screen.  You will return to the new page in Edit Mode.  When adding a new article, a new article frame will have been created in the panel you selected, and you may begin typing in content and/or adding images, flash, tables, etc.
    2. Click   to abandon and exit the Add Page Wizard.
