Adding HTML

Webtreepro provides you with ultimate flexibility

to use third party widgets, and HTML that you’ve created.

Some examples might include a HTML email newsletter

that you’ve created in another site,

a weather widget, popups, or other Snippets that you’ve secured from a third party .

You cannot personally host HTML on your webpage,

but there are many companies on the Internet

that will do this for you at no cost.

To place HTML, first go to the page where you want it to be seen.

HTML must be contained in an Article.

So, you'll need to go to the gray panel to the left of your screen, click Add Content,

and select "Article" from the list of Contents.

To review how to add an Article, see "Add an Article," or click here.

We strongly recommend HTML be placed in a separate and isolated Article

that has no other content in it.

See FAQ "HTML" for more information, or click here.

   1.   Once the Article has been added, click your cursor inside the Article.  Now, go to the 5th section of the Editing Toolbar at the top of

your screen, and click the HTML icon  which will bring up the HTML Properties screen, seen below.

   2.   Enter the HTML code.  This is easily done by doing a Ctrl + C to copy the code, and then Ctrl + V to paste the code into the above

         window.

   3.   Click OK   to save the HTML code, and exit the Properties window.

   4.   An HTML "placeholder” will be seen in the Article when in Edit Mode only.   In Published or Date Preview Mode, the actual HTML will

         be in place.

   5.   If you have to adjust the HTML, see the next page, Edit or Delete a HTML, or click here.

      • Caution:  If you make the width of the HTML frame larger than the width of the panel, your page may become distorted.

   6.   To test the HTML, be in Published Mode or click Date Preview located in the gray panel to the left of your screen.

   7.   If you have difficulty pasting HTML, or are not getting the cosmetic results you want,  please contact Technical Support

         for assistance.

Note:

When new Content is added to a panel that already has Content placed in it, the new Content will always appear at the bottom of the selected panel.  To move the new Content, make a right click in the new Content.  A quick edit flyout will appear and offer the options to move the Content.  The flyout below is for a Section List.

The choices offered are:  Up, Down, Move Last.  These choices can be used in the current panel.  Other choices offer to move the new Content to panels outside  the current panel, such as, to the Main panel, the Header, the Footer, or to the Menu panel.
