Introduction to Form Basics

In creating a Form, Webtreepro provides you with a variety of Form controls

which you can use in various ways.

When adding these controls, it is important to keep in mind

 the tips written below.

The Form Building Toolbar

      • You must click in a Form before being able to use the tool icons, seen above.  Each icon will help you create controls in your Form.  Each control has a specific job to do.  For more details, see "Form Tools," or click here.

      • A Form is a lot like an Article in that you can add text, colors, attributes, etc. by using the form editing tools.

      • You should place Forms and Form Controls into Tables as the best way of organizing and aligning them.   Webtreepro has tamed the Table "Beast," and makes creating Tables a clear cut task that's easily understood, and easy to do.  For more details, see the 7 pages in the Tables' section pages, starting with page 1; Tables, or click here.

      • Each control must have a distinctive Name or title.  You may not use the same Name for more than one control.  For example, if you need to place two Address boxes in your Form, they could be named Address 1 and Address 2. They cannot both be named Address.

      • The Name you give to each control is important.  It is used to identify each part of the Form's information.  When the Form is submitted, Webtreepro places each piece of information under a specific Name

      • You will get all of the Forms' information from Reports.  The Reports button is located between Edit/Published Modes and Knowledge Center in the gray header of your screen.

      •  Click on  Reports, and it will bring up the Reports screen.  Then, go to the left panel of the screen, and select  "Form  Submissions."  Webtreepro will bring up all your Forms' data.

      • If you would like more information about Reports, see the page Reports, or click here.
