1. Generally, we use a variety of tools when editing. These tools are always seen at the top of the screen, and are available for use on
every page of your site, with one exception. The Form Building Icons can only be used when working on a Form.

If you have placed a Slide Show that is seen on every page of your site,
and you need to edit it, go to the page where it was first created.
If you don't remember where you first created the Slide Show,
go to any page and do a right click in the Slide Show itself.
The Slide Show Properties flyout will appear, seen here.
Then, click Info. The Element Info flyout will appear, seen below.
Look at the Origin Page.
We see the Slide Show was created on the Admin page.
Now, you can go to the Admin page, and edit or delete the Slide Show
following the instructions below.

To edit or delete
a Slide Show,
go to the page
where it was originally placed.
In Edit Mode,
right click
in the Slide Show.
The Properties flyout will appear,
seen here.

2. The Slide Show Properties flyout offers information and editing choices. Click on each subject to see what is offered.

Info: This offers specific information about the Slide Show, such as the Origin of the site, the Placement (whether it is shown on all pages), who created it, etc.
- Hide: It allows you to hide the Slide Show when it is in Published Mode. This is especially helpful if the Slide Show is not ready to be seen by a visitor. Also, it's handy to use if a Parent site has Content being pushed to a Child site, but doesn't want it seen on the Parent site.
- Opt-in: This is only offered for Child sites. If the Content has been "pushed" from the Parent site, and the Parent has allowed the Content to be "Optional," the Child can choose to Opt-in and receive the optional Content.
- Delete: If you click on this, a "Warning" pop-up will appear, as seen below. Click OK to go ahead and delete the Slide Show.
Click Cancel to avoid deleting.

Down, Move Last. These choices can be used in the current panel. Other choices offer to move the Slide Show
to panels outside the current panel, such as, to the Main panel, the Header, the Footer, or to the Menu panel.

1. The Placement tab is where you can choose to have the Slide Show shown on only one page, or all pages. You cannot
change the panel where the Slide Show is placed on this tab. If you want to move the Slide Show, see Move to... explained
above.
2. The Details tabs are where you can change the Slide Show characteristics. We'll discuss these three tabs later in the page.
3. The Publish Dates tab is where you can set Start and Stop Dates to control the visitor's viewing of the Slide Show.
4. The Visibility tab is where you can change who is allowed to see the Slide Show.
5. The Publishing tab is for Parent sites to choose the Child site restrictions, if any. To review Publishing, click here.
6. Now, click Finish , and your newly edited Slide Show will be in place.
7. To test the Slide Show, you must be in Published Mode, or you can go to the gray panel to your left and click on Date
Preview.

Sometimes, you might need to edit in only one of the Page Elements tabs.
Just go to the top of the screen, and click on the tab you need.
Do your editing, and then click Finish .
No matter which tab you are on, the Finish button will save all your changes,
and bring you back to your working page.
You don't have to go through each tab of the Page Elements wizard to leave the wizard. |
Slide Show Details:
To change any of the Slide Show's characteristics, go through any or all of the options offered on each Details tab.
Viewer tab:

1. Image Location: To find the location of the file containing the images you want to display, click Select located
underneath Image Location.
2. Viewer Dimensions: is the "container" of the Slide Show.
- Width controls the width of the viewer. Enter a number in pixels to change this setting. (The default setting is 480 pixels.)
- Height controls the height of the viewer. Enter a number in pixels to change this setting. (The default setting is 360 pixels.)
- Border controls the border of the viewer. Enter a number in pixels to change this setting. (The default setting is 1 pixel.)
- Color controls the color of the border around the viewer. To select a color, enter the color hex code number in the text box next to "Color", or click on the square to choose a color from the color palette. (The default setting is black.)
3. Placement within Panel controls the position of the viewer in the panel on your page. Using the dropdown arrow, choose Left,
Center or Right. (The default is set at Right.)
4. Viewer Padding changes the position of the Slide Show by adding pixel spacing all around the viewer.
Show Options tab:

The Show Options page, seen above, offers you many editing choices to change the look of your Slide Show.
1. If you check the box for Automatically Advance, go to the right and select how long you want each slide to remain in the viewer.
(Default is 5 seconds.)
2. If you check the box for Pause on Hover, the Slide Show will stop when the visitor's cursor is held over the Thumbnail images.
3. You may choose how fast the slides change from the dropdown to the right, which is showing Instan... (Instantly) The default is
"Medium."
4. If you check the box for Show Controls, you will allow the visitor to go forward or backward through the Slide Show.
5. If you check the box to Open Image on Click, you allow the visitor to start the Slide Show when the image is clicked on.
6. If you check the box to Show text, you allow any text to be shown to the visitor. The same is true with Title and Description.
7. Font Size, Position and Height, allow you to choose the text size, and where the text will appear on the Slide Show.
8. Display Thumbnail, allows a visitor to watch the Slide Show, and stop it at any time, by putting the mouse onto the viewer.
File Links tab:

1. Here you'll see a thumbnail of each slide in your Slide Show. You will see 4 slides at a time. If you have more than 4 slides in your
Slide Show folder, page numbers will appear at the bottom of the tab. Click on the subsequent page numbers to see the next set
of four images.
2. If you'd like one or more of the slides to be linked to a page within your site, click Link Image, and by using the dropdown arrow at
the end of Use external Url, select the page within your site by clicking the page's title. The page title will replace Use external
URL.
3. If you want a slide to be linked to an external URL, insert the URL in the blank bar under Use external URL.
4. Open in a new window: Click this box if you want the link to be shown on a separate page.
5. Steps #2, 3 and 4 are handy when you want to link the slide to a page that has more information relating to the slide.
For example, if you have a slide depicting college students cavorting in the surf, you may want to link that slide to a page that has
detailed information about a special vacation promotion for Spring Break.
6. To break an existing link to another page, simple click on the checked box to remove the selected link.
