1. Scroll down to select RSS Reader from the Add Content Type screen.
2. Click Next . It will bring up the Placement screen. Choose the page Placement and Panel options.
To review Content Placement, click here.
3. Click Next . It will show the Details screen, seen below. The Details screen has two tabs.
Details; Common tab:
4. At the first tab, Common, you will set up the source of the RSS Feed, and decide how you want the content from the
RSS Feed to appear on your web page.

The RSS icon was decided upon by
several major Web browsers.
The user subscribes to a feed by entering the feed's URL
into the RSS reader, as seen above.
You also can click on a RSS icon in a web browser that will start up the subscribing process.
Since some RSS URLs are long and complicated,
you may want to use the Ctrl + C keys on your keyboard
to copy the URL, and then use Ctrl + V keys to place the URL in the appropriate space. |
5. Enter RSS Feed Url for the RSS Feed you want displayed on your web page.
6. Show last entries. From the dropdown, choose the number of RSS Feed items you want to have placed on your
web page.
7. Now, go to the Style tab, next to the Common tab, and click to see the Style window shown below.
Details; Style tab:

Title:
You don't have to choose a Font for the title, but if you want to use a specific Font, Font Style and/or Font Size,
that is different from what the Url site uses, follow these steps:

To select a Font Style, click  . The Font Settings window comes up. If you don't make any selections, the Font will appear in the same style that shows on the site from where the RSS Feed originates.

Font Style:
1. The 3 dropdowns will let you choose a Font, a Font Style and Font size, all of which can be seen in the
preview box at the bottom of the window. (The preview window in the example, is showing "Comic Sans MS" font.)
2. Click OK to save your choices.
3. If you need to change your selections, click Clear . Then, make another selection, or exit without making
any selection.
Text Color:
4. A selection does not have to be made here, unless you want to use a specific text color that is different from
the originating site.
5. To select a color, click on the square to see the color palette, or enter the hex color code number.
6. Click OK to save. Click Cancel to exit without saving any choices made.
Show link to content:
7. Select this checkbox if you want to have the content linked to the source of the RSS Feed.
Add Prefix:
8. From the dropdown arrow, choose a dash, or a bullet if you want a prefix placed before each RSS Feed Content
entry. Choose "blank" if you don't want to use any prefix.
Description:
Show Description:
1. Select this checkbox if you want to show the description associated with RSS Feed Content.
Font Style:
2. A selection does not have to be made here, unless you wish to use a specific font, font style, or font size. To select
a font style, click . Make your selections, and click OK . If you don't make any selections, the
font will appear in the style that shows on the originating site.
3. If you need to change your selections, click Clear . Then, make another selection, or exit without making any
selection.
Condense Description:
4. Select this checkbox if you want the description automatically reduced to fit your panel.
5. Then click on Next to go to the Publish Dates page of the Add Content wizard, and make
your choices.
(If you don't need to go through the next pages, you can click Finish and exit the RSS wizard with all
your choices saved.)
6. Otherwise, go through the other Add Content wizard tabs, and make your choices until you get to the
Publishing page.
Click Finish to exit the wizard, and return to your working page. Your RSS Feed will be in place.
7. Click Cancel to exit without adding a RSS Feed.

Note:
As with all newly added Content, the RSS Feed will be located at the bottom of the selected panel. You may want to move the RSS Feed elsewhere. If so, do a right click inside the RSS Feed, and the "RSS Feed Details" window appears, seen below.
Click "Move to..." and another flyout appears. Make a selection. In order to move the RSS Feed to its perfect location, this process may need to be repeated. |
