The Page Publish Dates Screen

The Publish Dates screen lets you schedule the appearance and disappearance

of a page by using a simple calendar control.

When adding a page,  the page will be automatically visible the moment it is saved,

and will have no expiration date.

You may neeed to change the dates if your page is not ready to be seen at that point.

Changing Start and Stop Dates:

   1.   In the above example, the Start Date has been entered at 7/13/2009.  To change the date, use the calendar's forward >

or backward <  arrows to find the desired month, then click on the desired date.   The double arrows <<  and  >>  will

          change the year.

   2.    In the example above, the Stop Date is 07/31/09.  To delete the Stop Date and have the page become visible to visitors,

           just click Clear

Or, if you want to change the Stop Date to another date,  use the calendar's forward > or backward <  arrows to find the

desired month, then click on the date.   The double arrows << and >> will change the year.

To temporarily remove the page from viewers, use the Stop Date calendar:

   1.    Click on a date that comes before the current date.  This is especially useful when you have been working on a particular

page, but it is not ready for viewers yet.  It removes the page from the visitors' sight.

   2.    At a time in the future when this page is ready to be seen,  go back to click on the current date in the Start Date calendar.

Click  Finish  .   The page becomes visible immediately.

   3.   Any page that has a Stop Date placed on it will appear in the List of Pages to the left of your screen (in Edit Mode) with a

small calendar icon in front of the page's title.

NOTE

If a page is located under another page and the top page has a Stop Date, you can clear the Stop Date for the

page that is underneath, but it won't be visible until the Stop Date for the top page is cleared, too.

In the example below, we see "Page Management" as being the top page, and "Page Template" is nested

under it.

"Page Management" has a Stop Date, but "Page Template" does not.  Until the Stop Date for "Page Management" is cleared, "Page Template" will not be visible to a visitor.

Expiration Notice:

  1. Notify me of expiration:   Select this checkbox if you want an email notice sent to you when the page's visibility expires (optional).
      • The email address will be your address, or the address of the person who is creating this page.  If the notice is to be sent somewhere else, enter that email address.

   2.   Days prior:   If you'd like to be notified a certain number of days before the page expires, use the dropdown and click

         on a number.

   3.   Click Next  .  Webtreepro will take you to the next step in adding a page, the Appearance screen.
