Templates

Templates are patterns of how a page is laid out and how it is built with panels. Panels are used as containers for page elements, such as images, text, menus, forms, or custom controls. The content fills the panels, and the panels fill a page.

As each new child site is created, a default template must be selected. It is a good idea to select the template that will be most commonly used for your sites. Then, if you need a different layout, just select the template that suits your needs.
