Location
The Location section allows you to decide where a new page should be placed within your website.
Note: If you cannot see the page where you want to place a new page under, you can expand the tree view by clicking the + button to the left of the page's title as shown above. This will allow you to see all of the page names that are under a certain page.
- In the center of the screen is the tree view. Click on a page from the tree view to place your new page directly under it (as a subpage).
- Note: Some pages in the list will be grayed out, depending on whether or not you checked the box for "exclude this page from the menu" in the Page Attributes tab.
- If you would like your new page to be a top level page, follow one of the steps below:
- For pages INCLUDED on the menu: click on the first item in the list, which is the name of your site.
- For pages EXCLUDED from the menu: Click on "Excluded Pages."
- Choose how you'd like this page to appear in the Browser's Address Bar
- Default URL: The default URL is created based off the name of your Page Name and the location.
- Optimized URL: Check this box if you would like to optimize your URL. Enter a custom URL string into the field, or leave it blank.
- Show this page: Choose where you want the new page to appear by clicking one of the choices from the drop-down.
- Page Order: Allows you to change the order of your pages.
- Click on the page that needs to be moved.
- Click Move Up or Move Down.
- Click Save to save your changes.
- Click Next to move on to the Publish Dates tab, where you can choose publishing and expiration dates for the page.
