Roles Redirect
The Roles > Redirect Page feature allows an Administrator to force specific groups of users to land on a specific page other than the home page.
Pre-requisite
This feature is primarily intended for Intranets where users must enter valid credentials before being granted access to view any pages. However, it can also work on Public sites provided the home page is not viewable by the public nor to any of the roles where a Redirect Page is set (see Page Visibility settings here).
Multiple Roles with Redirects
When a user is assigned to multiple roles that have a Redirect Page set, the Administrator will have an opportunity to specify which role/redirect is Primary. This option appears in the Users Administration. When adding/editing a user and after clicking the Apply button, a window will appear allowing you to Select the primary role for this user.
NOTE:
If you log out and then back into the site from a page to which you have access (per the Visibility Settings), the redirect to the primary role will not occur.
