Delete or Disable/Enable a Child Site

Child sites can only be deleted and disabled/enabled from the parent site. When you delete a site, the site is completely erased, and cannot be retrieved again. When you disable a site, the site goes offline and becomes inaccessible, but it remains in the Site Administration and can be enabled at any time. This is a good option if you want to remove a site but don't want to permanently delete it.

Delete a Child Site

  1. Open the Site Administration.

  2. In the "Current Sites" panel on the left-hand side, click on the child site that you wish to delete. The selected child site will turn red, and the information currently saved for that child site will populate in the "Edit Site" panel on the right-hand side, as seen in the image below.

  3. Click the Delete button.

  4. A message will pop up asking you to confirm. Click OK.

Disable/Enable a Child Site

  1. From the parent site, open the Site Administration.

  2. In the "Current Sites" panel, click on the child site that you wish to disable.

  3. Click on the Disable button.

  4. You will see a message saying that your site was disabled successfully.

  5. Your site will also appear with a red dash to the left of it in the "Current Sites" panel.

  6. To enable the site, click the Enable button.

  7. You will see a message saying that your site was enabled successfully.
