Miscellaneous Editing
This is the Miscellaneous Editing section of the Editing Toolbar. The icons in this section will vary depending on whether your website is responsive or not.
Link: Highlight some text then click this icon to create a link. You can choose from the following types of links: external URL, email address, page within the site, bookmark, or file from the library. Read more
Unlink: Highlight an existing link, then click this icon to remove the link.
Create bookmark: Linking to a bookmark allows you to create a link to a specific point within the current page. This is useful when you have a very long page and need to reference a certain point within the page. This process involves two steps: The first step is to create the bookmark. To do this, highlight some text and click this icon to create a bookmark. The second step is to create a link to that bookmark using the link icon. Read more about creating a bookmark. Image: Place your cursor in the location where you want to add an image, then click this icon. It will pull up the library where you can select an existing image, or upload a new image. Read more
Table: Place your cursor in the location where you want to add a table, then click this icon. You will then be able to choose the number of rows and columns, as well as other table and style properties. Keep in mind that if your site has a responsive skin, this icon will not appear, because tables are not compatible with responsive designs.
Responsive layout: Responsive layouts are an alternative to tables for sites with responsive designs. You can choose from the following layouts (based on percentage of article width):
- 2 column 50-50
- 3 column 33-33-33
- 2 column 30-70
- 2 column 70-30
- 4 column 25-25-25-25
Place your cursor inside of an article, then click this icon to add columns to your article. It is recommended to start with an empty article, and to add only one layout per article. This is only available on sites with responsive designs. Read more
Mobile options: This is used to specify if content should appear when viewed on mobile devices, tablets, desktop computers or any combination of the three. The content can therefore be customized for the device being used by the viewing audience, whether more detailed text with larger images on desktops or smaller, faster loading images with simpler bullet points on mobile devices. This is only available on responsive designs. Read more
Insert Label: This gives you the ability to create a label with custom text and a background color. Place your cursor in the location where you want to add a label, then click the this icon. Choose one of the preselected colors, then enter the text for your label into the "Title" field. Choose a style for the corners, then click OK. This is only available on responsive designs.
Insert horizontal line: Place your cursor inside of an article in the place where you want to add a line, then click this icon. To delete the line, click on the line (you should see "handles" around the line), then click the "Delete" key located on your keyboard.
Insert special character: Place your cursor inside of an article, then click this icon to bring up a list of special characters. Simply click on the character that you need, and it will automatically close out the list and insert the character.
FontAwesome: This gives you the ability to add customizable icons. Place your cursor in the location where you want to add a customized icon, then click this icon. Customize your icon using the settings at the top (Color, Size, Flipping and Rotating, Spinning, Fixed Width, Bordered). After you've selected your customizations, click on the icon you wish to add (use the search field if you need to search for a specific icon), then click OK.
Insert HTML/JS: Place your cursor inside of an article, then click this icon. Paste or type in your code, give your code a name, then click OK. A placeholder icon will appear with the name you specified.
