Radio Button

Radio Buttons are used when you want the customer to choose one of a limited number of choices.

  1. Place your cursor inside the form in the location where you wish to add your radio button.

  2. Click on the "Radio button" icon on the form editing toolbar.

  3. Fill in the following fields:
    • Type: Single
    • Is this button associated with another radio button: This field option only appears if you've previously added a radio button to your form. If this box is checked, the dropdown list will offer radio button names that have been previously created, as seen in the image above. To associate this radio button with a previously added radio button, check this box, then use the dropdown list to select the radio button you wish to associate it with.
      • Example: Create a radio button with "ShoppedBefore" as the name, and "Yes" as the value. Save the radio button. Create a second radio button next to it. Check the box next to "Is this button associated with another radio button," then select "ShoppedBefore" from the dropdown list. Enter "No" as the value. The name will default to "ShoppedBefore," since this is the name of the associated button. Save the page. When a visitor fills out the form they will have the option to choose either yes or no.
    • Value Submitted by Form: Enter a value for this field. This is the value that will appear in the Form Submission Report when this radio button is selected by the visitor.
    • Name: Enter the name for this form field. This is important as it will be used to identify each title of the form's information. When a form is submitted, information from a field is listed with the field name in the report. Click here to learn about Form Submission Reports.
    • Selected: When this option is checked, the checkbox will appear already checked. Anyone filling out the form has the option to uncheck the box if they choose.
    • Mark this field required: Select this option if the field is required upon form submission. Should the form be submitted without filling in the required information, an alert message  will appear.
    • Show a message in a new line:  If this is checked, and the form is submitted with missing information, the form will show a reminder on the next line.

  4. Click OK to save or click Cancel to delete the entries.

  5. Save the page by clicking on the Save icon in the editing toolbar.

  6. Click here to see an example of a radio button.
