Create a Link to a Bookmark

Linking to a bookmark allows you to create a link to a specific point within the current page. This is useful when you have a very long page and need to reference a certain point within the page. This process involves two steps: The first step is to create the bookmark. The second step is to create a link to that bookmark.

Create a Bookmark

Highlight the text where you want to add the bookmark.
Click the create bookmark icon.
Give your bookmark a name, then click OK. It is recommended that you choose a name with all lowercase letters and no spaces.

Create a Link to the Bookmark

Click the link icon on the editing toolbar
- Type: Select "Link to Bookmark."
- Choose a bookmark: Use the dropdown arrow to choose the bookmark that you created earlier.
- Rollover Label: This is the text that will appear when a user hovers over the link.
- Designate link as nonfollow: Click the box to tell search engines not to follow this link, and to avoid it being used in page rankings.
Click the Save icon on the editing toolbar.
