Frequently Asked Questions About Editing
Question:
How can I add text that has special characters? For example, when I need to add an accent over a letter, as in Swisshôtel.
Answer:
Click on Insert Special Character icon on the editing toolbar, then select a character. You may also use keyboard shortcuts. Hold down the ALT key and simultaneously enter the keyboard sequence for that character. Here is a page showing some of the ALT keyboard codes: http://tools.oratory.com/altcodes.html
Question:
Why am I not able to see the Editing Toolbar?
Answer:
In order to access the Editing Toolbar, you must first click in an Article or other piece of content on a page.
Question:
I entered Content into an article saved it. When I look at it in Published Mode, the page is visible, but the content that I just entered is blank. What could cause this?
Answer:
The content may be hidden, or have a past or future publish date. In Edit Mode, click on the article. If the Hidden icon is selected, your content will not appear in published mode. Click the icon to unhide it. If the article was not hidden, check the publish date. Click on the Properties icon on the editing toolbar, then go to the Publish Dates tab. Check to make sure that your content is current.
