Frequently Asked Questions About User Privileges

Question:
If I give a user the right to add other users and privileges, what prevents them from changing their own privileges, like Content Editing for example?

Answer:
Each user can only assign privileges to others that they themselves have. So, if you have no ability to add pages for example, then you can't give that privilege to yourself or anyone else.

Question:
Can I create users that can see hidden content, but are prevented from editing or having other administrative rights on my sites?

Answer:
Yes, you can create roles that have no administrative or content management rights. These users can log in and see content that is marked as visible only to them, but that is all they can do. They cannot access the editor, they can only remain in Published Mode.

Question:
How do I designate a different user as the Super Admin for the organization (parent site)?

Answer:
This is a change that our Support Personnel has to make. To contact Support click the Need Help link located at the bottom of every page.
