Text Area
A text area provides a field where a visitor can leave feedback, message, or response.
- Place your cursor inside the form in the location where you wish to add your text area.
- Click on the "TextArea" icon on the form editing toolbar.
- Fill in the following fields:
- Name: Enter the name for this form field. This is important as it will be used to identify each title of the form's information. When a form is submitted, information from a field is listed with the field name in the report. Click here to learn about Form Submission Reports.
- Rows: Enter the number of rows text area will include (this determines the height).
- Columns: Enter the number of columns text area will include (this determines the width).
- NOTE: Applies only to non-responsive templates. For responsive templates, the text area spans the entire width of the panel.
- Mark this field required: Select this option if the field is required upon form submission. Should the form be submitted without filling in the required information, an alert message will appear.
- Click OK to save or click Cancel to delete the entries.
- Save the page by clicking on the Save icon in the editing toolbar.

Additional Information
- To delete a text area, click on the existing text area, then click the Delete key on your keyboard.
- To edit a text area, double click on the existing text area field. Or, you may click on text area, then click the text area icon on the form editing toolbar.
