Properties Tab

  1. Menu Name: This is the title of the page selected.

    • If you want to name the page something different, click the radio button next to "Custom," and enter a new name.

  3. Exclude this page from the menu: If checked, this page will not show in the Menu, but will be stored in the "Excluded Pages" located at the end of the "List of Pages."

  4. Page Title: This will default to the Page Name, however, its recommended to enter a different Page Title.

  5. Description: This is a summary of the page contents. Be sure to use strong keywords, which will help with search engine ranking.

  6. Keywords: Theses are short or long words, detailing what your page content contains (i.e. Floral Shop, Flowers for Sale, Tulips etc.).

    • If you wish to redirect to a page on another website, select "Use external URL" from the dropdown and enter the address under Enter the Full URL.

Search Engine Tab

  1. Robots:
    • Follow: If checked, search engine robots will follow links placed on the current page.
    • No Follow: If checked, search engine robots will not follow links placed on the current page.
    • Index: If checked, search engines will index the page.
    • No Index: If checked, search engines will index the page.

    • Change Frequency: lets you choose how often you want Web Crawlers to crawl your Websites Pages.
    • Priority: If you plan on constant changes within some of the pages within your Website, Priority will allow to select which Pages need to be searched more often than others.

Canonical Tag Tab

To avoid penalizing the SEO rankings of similar/duplicate pages, the parent admin can specify a single internal or external page to reference for rankings on pushed down pages.

  1. Canonical Tag: This allows you to select which page within your website will have the "authority" over others of the same like content. From dropdown select an internal page, or begin typing the name of the page and it will automatically autocomplete, making it easier to select the page.  To reference an external page, enter the URL in the field.
    • This happens when individual website pages can be loaded from multiple URLs, see the examples below:
      • http://example.com
    • When placing this tag on a page within your website, this tells search engines that the page selected should be treated as a "Copy" of a URL, and that all the content (verbiage and links) should apply towards the main page, all considered as one page, see example below:
      • http://www.example.com/index ----> All three URLs will apply towards the main Page/URL www.example.com (counted as one Page)

  2. Child Page Canonical Tag: To avoid penalizing the SEO rankings of similar/duplicate pages, the parent admin can specify a single internal or external page to reference for rankings on pushed down pages. If a parent admin has not specified a single page, they are allowing search engines to rank each pushed down child site page separately from the parent site and all other child site pages.
    • Canonical Tag set to this page on non-edited child site: The parent admin can enable the page box so that rankings for pushed down child site pages that have not been edited will be based on the parent site page.
